DANISH WINTER HYGGE

The Danish have a special word for an idea they put to good practice each winter- hygge. Not that easy to describe or pronounce, but it basically means to create a cocoon of coziness. The contentment you feel with friends in candlelight. Our beeswax votives, set in dozens on a low coffee table, shared with favorite winter snacks are exactly what the Scandinavian custom is all about.
